The student parking lot and football field have low rates of transmitted sunlight. There are aerosols in the air that stop most of the sunlight from being absorbed into the surfaces. With aerosols blocking most of the sunlight and keeping it from reaching the ground, making the surface temperature of the football field and student parking lot cooler.
